20th Anniversary Celebration World Boss Loot Overview
Oct-15-2024

World of Warcraft’s 20th Anniversary Celebration will go live on October 24. During this commemorative event in patch 11.0.5, some uninvited classic world bosses will crash the party. These iconic bosses from the past will return, including Doomwalker, Azuregos, Lord Kazzak, and the Nightmare Dragons. Players who are level 15 and above can band together to drive them out and earn generous rewards along with anniversary event currency.

Anniversary Boss Mount Drops Overview

In addition to these world bosses, other unexpected guests will also appear in the sands of Tanaris—namely Sha of Anger and Archavon the Stone Watcher. Lucky players will have a chance to receive special mount rewards after defeating them.

During the 20th anniversary celebration, all three world bosses will spawn in Tanaris. Each character can unlock loot from them daily. Here are their locations and loot details:

  • Doomwalker drops the “Illidari Doomhawk”

This mount was originally part of the World of Warcraft 17th Anniversary event, with a drop rate of approximately 15% (drop rates are for reference only).

  • Archavon the Stone Watcher drops the “Reins of the Grand Black War Mammoth”

This rare mount drops from Archavon’s Vault, with different models available for the Alliance and Horde.

  • Sha of Anger drops the “Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent”

Although some players may have already purchased this mount during the Mists of Pandaria: Prismatic Reconstruction event, Sha of Anger returns to Tanaris during the 20th-anniversary event, giving more players a chance to obtain this mount.
